The HKUST FYT Graduate School will contribute to job creation, training and internship opportunities, improve productivity, increase the local and regional value-added, encourage innovation, and possibly even expand business opportunities for companies and start-ups in Hong Kong and the region. It will contribute to technology transfer in the region, and to education, training and skills upgrading, bringing Hong Kong and the region closer to being a knowledge-based society.

This will be an integral part of the University in fulfilling its social and economic development responsibilities, and realizing its vision.

Our Mission
To be a base and springboard in the Mainland for HKUST, from which it may facilitate and help the University to realize its objectives in Research and Education, as embodied in HKUST's 15-year Strategic Plan - Vision 2020.

Our Goals
To strive for excellence and add value to HKUST's mission and vision, in:
Research & Technology Advancement
  Through active participation in the Mainland's research and technology development scene, and engage with industry in technology innovation, thereby establish HKUST as a renown institution in the Mainland.
Education
  Postgraduate & general education programs, & professional training.
Social Development
 
In achieving the above, contribute to the economic, industrial and social progress in Hong Kong, the PRD and beyond.
