MSc PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The increasing speed at which we can
acquire, interpret, and process information is
responsible for many of the fundamental changes we are
observing in the modern world. Much of this is due to
advances in electronic
engineering, for example:
- advances in automation and control technologies enable factories to rapidly reconfigure their production lines to respond to market changes;
- advances in signal processing and pattern recognition enable computers to inspect production lines automatically, respond to human speech, or improve medical diagnosis;
- advances in networking, communications, photonics and display technologies increase the speed and number of ways we can access information; and
- advances in chip design and computer architecture are fundamental, and leading technological advancement
The HKUST MSc Program in Electronic Technology (MSc-ELET) brings student up-to-date the state-of-the-art technologies that are changing the ways we work and interact, in an increasing interconnected world. It combines academic depth with current industrial applications. Graduates are expected to develop a rewarding career in the relevant field.
